Training, Education and Program Scope

The Indiana Regional Community Policing Institute (RCPI) is committed to delivering top quality educational products and services to meet the unique challenges facing various communities.

The Center recognizes that in order to enhance the quality of life for a community, it requires a broad base support and involvement of various community representatives; therefore our educational curricula is focused on the latest developments in technology, community policing strategies, foreign language (Spanish), professional development, management strategies, multi-cultural awareness, Homeland Security programs and business and community life skills.

One of the goals of the Center is to establish a strong network and network sites, linking law enforcement, community, businesses, institutions of higher learning, social agencies and media to assist in the advocacy for continued learning and professional development. This goal is made possible by a Federal Grant under the auspices of the Federal Office of Community Oriented Policing Services that allows the Center to offer education programs and curricula at no cost or expense to participants
