Stakeholders will be requested from time to time to engage in strategic planning sessions and discussions regarding the following three major issues:

  • Building and sustaining a safe community environment.
  • Building and sustaining effective community and law enforcement collaboration.
  • Developing innovative and value added training and education strategies for citizens and law enforcement personnel.

The sustainability of a community policing strategy to enhance community life rests with a true collaborative effort from all key stakeholders.

Involvement and Commitment:

In order for the concept of a Community Policing strategy to be effective, there must be a genuine commitment and involvement from concerned community citizens, local government officials, community businesses and other community agencies. Community Policing is an innovative model where law enforcement and the community work together in a harmonious and collaborative effort to solve problems that affect or impact the community’s quality of life in a negative fashion.
